The FRU 20 UK Universal Brake Tester is a device used to perform a complete evaluation of the condition of the braking system of a light vehicle or heavy vehicle up to 20 T per axle.
Its two welded steel frames, one for each wheel on the same axle, house rollers that ensure adequate grip for a successful test. Powerful motors drive the rollers, and force cells continuously report braking measurements throughout the test.
The most significant information obtained is:
- Measurement of braking force in the manual and pedal brake
- Rolling resistance
- Ovality and weight measurement (optional)
- Pedal effort (hand clamp and foot gauge) *optional
- Braking performance
Standard equipment
- Brake tester
- Control console
- Self-locking rollers for easy exit
- Electronic control and SMRW Software
- Start-up sensitiser
Console for heavy vehicle equipment
